Road to Olympics

For women hockey players - the Olympics is the time the sports press pays attention to this sport (at least the American press, the Canadian press gives more coverage to their national team on non-Olympic tournaments). It's almost as if these top athletes just miraclously appear every four years in the Winter Games - for a few weeks, some of their names even become temporary household ones (Go Cammi!), until the games are over and the coverage just fades away. The U.S. Women's Hockey team beat Finland 1-0 in the unfinished ice arena being built for the Torino Olympics. USAToday has the AP story.
